The Skincare She Couldn't Find, So She Made It: Nyarai Skincare

Before Nyarai Skincare was a brand with its own shelf space and a founder who gets stopped at events, it was a young woman mixing formulas in her mother's kitchen because nobody was making what her skin actually needed.
Warrenesha Arnold grew up in Marianna, in one of the most under-resourced corners of the state, dealing with acne, dark spots, and inflammation, and the quiet weight those things put on a teenager's confidence. There was no dermatologist down the road and nothing on local shelves formulated for skin like hers. So when she moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2019 to study at the University of Arkansas, she brought a small business with her and a clear idea of who it was for. Nyarai Skincare is plant based, natural, organic, cruelty free, and non toxic, built specifically to treat acne, dark spots, and discoloration on melanated skin.
What stays with you about Warrenesha is that she never separated the science from the people. She earned a bachelor's in human nutrition and dietetics, then went straight into a master's in product innovation, and she has used every bit of that training to make her formulas better rather than to make her marketing louder. When she talks about her work, she talks about access. She noticed how many stores around here simply did not carry natural skincare made for people of color, and she decided to be the one to close that gap.
Her advice for other founders is the kind you want to write down. Learn from every mistake, and trust the process on the days that feel like a dark tunnel, because there is always light at the end of it. Network, and be the voice for your own company, because no one will say your name with the conviction that you can.
If you have been looking for skincare that was actually designed with your skin in mind, this is the founder to support. You can find Nyarai Skincare online and follow Warrenesha's journey, which now includes a sister venture, Nyarai Nutrition. She built this for us. The least we can do is show up for her.
